The Blue Giant A-Series dock leveler is designed to meet the challenges of today’s busy warehouses and cargo handling facilities. Our hydraulic and mechanical models are easy to operate, come in a variety of configurations to suit any application, and have a low lifetime ownership cost.


Strength is the hallmark of the A-series: strategically located I-beams allow the deck to withstand the dynamic forces of loaded forklifts without ‘dishing’. We incorporate a minimum of six (6) hightensile steel I-beam deck supports in all A-series models, keeping structural integrity intact even during rigorous usage.
Blue Giant’s exclusive maintained deck tilt feature (known through the industry as Assured Motion Float) is unique to the A-series. This floating rear hinge design lets the dock leveler accommodate heavier loads without experiencing deck fatigue, and reduces the jolting that can cause back and neck injury in forklift drivers.

Superior Quality and Features

• A minimum of six sturdy I-beams welded at dynamic impact points enables aggressive usage without adversely affecting the working life of the dock leveler.
• A unified headboard system strengthens the deck’s front structure, ensuring resilient performance during heavier-duty applications.
• The one-piece lip hinge pin supports even load distribution, making the lip structure up to five times stronger than the competition.
• The floating rear hinge allows the deck to tilt up to 4" (102 mm) when under load, allowing full width contact between the lip and truck bed, compensating for cantilevered trailers, and preventing damage to forklift tires, steering system, and load. This Assured Motion Float feature is unique to Blue Giant A-Series dock levelers.
• Working load range can accommodate 12" (305 mm) above and 12" (305mm) below deck level.
• Maintenance stand to support deck and lip.
• Full range toe guards are heavy gauge steel plate and come standard in ANSI-approved safety yellow.
• High visibility safety striping alerts personnel when the dock leveler extends above the cross-traffic position.
• Standard accessories include laminated bumpers and mechanical night locks and stops.

The Blue Giant A-Series Hydraulic Dock Leveler is a highperformance system. Perfect for greater-capacity applications, it has an industry-wide reputation for strength and endurance.

• Continuous-duty rated hydraulic system with high-flow efficient 1 HP motor.
• Comes with wall-mounted single push-button control (model SP1) for sequenced deck and lip operation.
• Rugged hydraulic deck and lip cylinders increase operating efficiency and reduce maintenance requirements. (Two lift cylinders for 60-80,000 lb capacities.)
• Velocity fuse fall safe limits free fall to within 4" (102 mm).
• Complies with ANSI MH30.1 standard.
• Optional control station upgrade: Blue Genius™ Gold Series I Touch Control Panel for independent deck and lip control. Features include an LCD menu screen, function buttons, and a flat surface keypad with unique touch sensors. Rated NEMA4X / IP65. Interior and exterior LED lights communication system also available.

StrongArm™ SVR303 Vehicle Restraint

With a vertical restraining range of 8" (203mm) to 26" (660mm) and horizontal reach of 13" (406mm), the SVR303 will detect and lock virtually any modern ICC bar. Low-profile, non-impact, and fully submersible. Complies with ANSI MH30.3 standards.

Blue Genius™ Gold Series III

The ultimate in dock safety and performance. The Blue Genius™ Gold Series III controls hydraulic or airpowered dock leveler - vehicle restraint combinations. Includes an interior and exterior LED lights communication system, mirror image driver warning signs, and programmable audio alarm.

Free Standing Frame

When space limitations do not permit pit construction, Blue Giant has free-standing pit frames available in custom sizes.

New Construction Pit Kit

Save time, money and effort in building a factory-sized dock leveler pit. Once
formed, the panels remain part of the pit. No cutting of wood forms required.

XDS2000 Dock Safety System

Protect equipment and personnel with a Blue Giant 2-in-1 interlocked dock safety system. A hydraulically operated Door and Dock Guard reduces the risk of forklift run-off and overhead door damage. Features Blue Genius™ Gold Series I and advanced lights communication package. Also available: the XDS3000, XDS3500, and XDS4000, each interlocked with a StrongArm™ series vehicle restraint.

DLB Series Dock Lip Barrier

Prevent forklift run-off and overhead door damage. When parked, the DLB Dock Lip Barrier extends 5" (127mm) above the cross traffic position, providing a full-width safety barrier.
