An automotive grade air bellows system pulling air from an existing air supply or a dedicated air compressor lifts dock leveler.	Dependable lip extension via unique lip latch mechanism is fully yeildable if impacted by backing trailer.	CentraAir® dock levelers can be manually activated via a lanyard control located at the back of the leveler.

Operation

The CentraAir® (CA) Series Leveler is available with either “push button” activation or lanyard control. With either system, the activation of the CA leveler is simple. The dock attendant either pushes and holds the raise button or pulls and holds the lanyard at the rear of ramp, unit will raise and lip will extend. Releasing either the raise button or lanyard will permit the leveler to float down to the bed of the truck. Operable range is 12” above and 12” below dock level. Standard lip is 16”. The platform is designed to service out of level trailers with up to 4” of flex and remains flush with dock floor. Platform is allowed to automatically float up and down with trailer movement.

Electrical

The CentraAir® (CA) Series Dock Leveler operates off existing plant air regulated at approximately 90 psi or off a dedicated compressor. Activation of the unit is either push button or lanyard control. Lanyard control is located at the back of the leveler, similar to a mechanical unit and requires no electrical to the individual unit, making it a ideal for electrically starved areas or explosion proof applications. The “push button” option utilizes a 115V circuit to power an extremely low amp (.073 amp) solenoid which activates the system. Both push button and lanyard models incorporate a 5 ft³ industrial automotive grade bellows system, which exhausts air through a cartridge valve located in the pit. Please note: Unless specifically noted on quotation, all electrical installation requirements are the responsibility of others.

Safety Features

• Built in lockout/tagout maintenance inspection strut.
• Lip keepers for cross traffic support and automatic night lock security against theft.

Loading Dock Bumpers

Two molded 4” thick x 12” high x 13” long bumpers are standard. Optional sizes and types are available, consult factory.

Color

Slate blue is standard. Other colors available.

Vehicle Restraint Systems

McGuire CA Series air powered levelers can be equipped with STOP-TITE®, HOLD-TITE®, or TPR™ vehicle restraint systems or a Light Communication System to help prevent unexpected trailer departure from the loading dock and minimize trailer creep during the loading/unloading process and to enhance communication at the dock area.
